The most abused and killed section of animals on the planet, some find it harder to empathise with fish than they do with other animals. The primary reason for this is simply because they look so different from us, and the fact that fish suffer in silence probably doesn't help, either. Despite their difference in appearance, there's no compelling reason to conclude that fish don't feel, this article seeming to confirm the idea from a scientific point of view.
