  • Turkeys form strong social bonds with others in their flock that last a lifetime.
  • Turkey's heads will change color according to their mood.
  • Turkeys recognize each other by their unique voices with researchers identifying nearly thirty distinct vocalizations.
  • Turkeys have great geography skills and can memorize the specific details of an area of more than a thousand acres.
  • In the wild, turkeys will sometimes travel in groups of up to two hundred.
  • Turkeys are playful animals and have been observed joining in games together.
  • Turkey brothers will team up together to show their plumage and court females, but only the dominant male gets to mate.
  • Turkeys can move their heads in such a way to get a full 360 degree view of their surroundings.
  • Turkeys make a cat-like purr when they are relaxed or content.
  • A turkeys' vision can sense movement almost a hundred yards away.
  • If a turkey is removed from their group they become distressed and will call out to flockmates until they are reunited.

      or took place at humane assured facilities. It's far from easy viewing, but if you still
